The Latin Vulgate was not available to the common people except for the kings and the socially elite. The Reformation period was the time during which the Bible had been translated into the common language of the people. The protestant reformation was a force the helped get the Bible in quite a few languages, barring Latin and Greek. The Geneva and Bishop’s Bibles were the most commonly used. But these two Bibles were not completely accepted because of translation mistakes and textual corruptions. This gave rise to the necessity of a Bible that is complete and Whole. This is how the KJV was born. In this sermon learn of the story as to how the KJV Bible came into existence.
