By the time of Reformation it had undergone significant textual corruptions. It included both a translation of the Hebrew Old Testament and Greek New testament plus other additions to the Bible. The Bibles were owned by the churches, the kings and the socially elite. But today, this is the most published book in the world. The Latin Vulgate was not available to the common people except for the kings and the socially elite. The Reformation period was the time during which the Bible had been translated into the common language of the people. The protestant reformation was a force the helped get the Bible in quite a few languages, barring Latin and Greek. The Geneva and Bishop’s Bibles were the most commonly used. But these two Bibles were not completely accepted because of translation mistakes and textual corruptions. This gave rise to the necessity of a Bible that is complete and Whole.
